In An Giang, IR 504 raw rice decreased by 100 VND/kg to 12,900 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice decreased by 200 VND/kg to 13,000 – 13,100 VND/kg.
At the market rice channel, rice prices in Tien Giang and Dong Thap today also decreased by 200 – 300 VND/kg. Meanwhile, by-product prices today continue to increase for broken rice and remain stable for dry bran. Currently, the price of IR 504 panels increased by 100 VND/kg to 12,700 – 12,800 VND/kg; The price of dry bran remains stable at 7,100 – 7,250 VND/kg.
At retail markets, the price of Nhen rice fluctuated around 26,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice is stable at 16,000 – 18,500 VND/kg; Regular rice is usually priced at 12,000 – 14,000 VND/kg; Common white rice 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 18,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 19,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 19,000 VND/kg; Squirrel rice usually costs 16,000 – 17,000 VND/kg; Thai squirrel rice 18,500 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,000 VND/kg.
According to traders and businesses, today rice transactions in localities are quite slow. In An Giang, sales at factories slowed down, warehouses asked to buy more but prices dropped so factories did not sell goods. In Tien Giang and Dong Thap, rice prices decreased compared to last week, with few new transactions.
In the export market, Vietnam’s export rice prices went sideways. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current export price of 5% broken rice is at 643 USD/ton; The price of 25% broken rice fluctuates stably around 628 USD/ton.
