For rice products, rice prices of all types are stable. In An Cu, Cai Be (Tien Giang), the price of raw rice OM 18, Dai Thom 8 is at 14,750 – 14,950 VND/kg; OM 5451 raw rice fluctuates around 14,400 – 14,600 VND/kg. Meanwhile, IR 504 Viet raw rice is stable at 13,100 – 13,150 VND/kg; OM 380 ranges from 12,900 – 13,000 VND/kg; Soc to rice ranges from 12,350 – 12,450 VND/kg.

 

Meanwhile, in Sa Dec (Dong Thap), rice prices of all types remained stable. Accordingly, fragrant rice is at 14,500 – 14,700 VND/kg; beautiful fragrance 14,700 – 14,900 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice 14,400 – 14,600 VND/kg; IR 504 is at 13,100 – 13,300 VND/kg.

At export warehouses, rice prices did not fluctuate. Accordingly, the price of IR 504 Vietnamese raw rice remains at 13,050 – 13,150 VND/kg; Raw rice fluctuates at 12,900 – 13,000 VND/kg; Soc Trang raw rice at 12,250 – 12,350 VND/kg; OM 5451 raw rice at 13,700 – 13,800 VND/kg; Raw rice OM 18, Dai Thom 8 at 14,050 – 14,150 VND/kg.

Noted in today’s rice market, farmers continue to offer high prices for Winter-Spring rice. Traders slowed down buying due to falling rice prices. Trading transactions are slow.

In many fields in An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), prices of all types of rice decreased by 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Fragrant rice OM 18, OM 5451, IR 504 continues to be small. Export warehouses buy at moderate prices, prices decrease by 100 – 150 VND/kg compared to yesterday morning depending on the type.

In the export market, Vietnam’s export rice prices turned down with 25% broken rice. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 25% broken rice is at 625 USD/ton, down 8 USD/ton, while 5% broken rice remains stable at 653 USD/ton.

Along with the decline of Vietnamese rice, Thai rice prices simultaneously decreased from 11 – 14 USD/ton. Specifically, 5% broken rice is at 639 USD/ton, down 14 USD/ton; 25% broken rice decreased by 11 USD/ton to 578 USD/ton, 100% broken rice decreased by 13 USD/ton to 480 USD/ton.
