Rice prices today on July 26, 2023 in the Mekong Delta region remained stable.

Accordingly, at An Giang warehouse, the price of rice OM 5451 is being purchased by traders in the field at 6,700 – 6,800 VND/kg; OM 18 rice 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; IR504 rice price is being purchased by traders at 6,700 – 6,900 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice at 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 9 costs 6,600 – 6,800 VND/kg; Japanese rice is also stable at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice (dry) at 13,000 VND/kg.

With sticky rice, Long An sticky rice (fresh) at 6,300 – 6,600 VND/kg; An Giang sticky rice (fresh) 6,000 – 6,300 VND/kg; AG (dry) sticky rice at 7,400 – 7,600 VND/kg; Long An sticky rice (dry) costs 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg.

For rice, the price of raw rice and finished products is adjusted to increase by 50-100 VND/kg. Accordingly, IR 504 raw rice is at 10,450 – 10,550 VND/kg, an increase of 50 VND/kg. Finished rice is at 12,000-12,100 VND/kg, increasing by 100 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of by-products increased by 50 VND/kg with dried bran. Specifically, the price of IR 504 plate ranges from 9,900 to 10,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of dried bran increased by 50 VND/kg to 7,450 VND/kg.

According to traders, the amount of rice today is still small, the price of rice of all kinds increased slightly. The rice market is vibrant, traders ask to buy a lot, farmers gradually offer high prices. Especially fragrant rice OM 18 / Dai Thom 8 demand a lot, prices increase.

At retail markets, the price of rice is usually 11,500 – 12,500 VND/kg; Intestinal sticky rice remained stable at 14,000 – 16,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice is priced at 22,000 VND/kg. Long grain Thai fragrant rice maintains 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice costs 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg.

Huong Lai rice costs 19,000 VND/kg; Common white rice costs 14,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice costs 18,500 VND/kg; Soc rice usually fluctuates from 14,000 to 15,000 VND/kg.

Soc Thai rice stable price 18,000; Taiwanese fragrant rice costs 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg and bran remains at 8,500 – 9,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, the price of rice for export increased sharply by 10 USD/ton. Specifically, 5% broken rice traded at 543 USD/ton, up 10 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 523 USD/ton, up 10 USD/ton.

Along with Vietnamese rice, the price of Thai rice increased sharply from 14 to 23 USD/ton. Accordingly, the price of Thai 5% broken rice was at 573 USD/ton, up 23 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 522 USD/ton, up 14 USD/ton.

Many businesses said that compared with before the ban of India, the price of rice in the popular West increased by 30 USD/ton. 5% broken rice reached the level of 540-550 USD/ton, while aromatic and high-quality rice varieties increased slightly, only about 20 USD/ton.

According to forecasts of rice exporters, 5% broken rice for export can reach a price of 600 USD/ton. Popular rice varieties will increase sharply because the world demand is mainly in this segment. However, at present, this market segment has very little production in Vietnam because the cultivated area is only about 4-5%.
