Rice prices today on July 28, 2023 in the domestic market slowed down after many hot sessions. In the market, the price of Vietnamese rice for export increased by 10 USD/ton.

Rice prices today on July 28, 2023 in the Mekong Delta region remained stable.

Accordingly, at An Giang warehouse, the price of rice OM 5451 is being purchased by traders in the field at 6,700 – 6,800 VND/kg; OM 18 rice 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; IR504 rice price is being purchased by traders at 6,700 – 6,900 VND/kg; Dai Thong 8 rice at 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 9 costs 6,600 – 6,800 VND/kg; Japanese rice is also stable at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice (dry) at 13,000 VND/kg.

With sticky rice, Long An sticky rice (fresh) at 6,300 – 6,600 VND/kg; An Giang sticky rice (fresh) 6,000 – 6,300 VND/kg; AG (dry) sticky rice at 7,400 – 7,600 VND/kg; Long An sticky rice (dry) costs 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg.

For rice, the price of raw rice and finished products slowed down and moved sideways after many hot sessions. Accordingly, IR 504 raw rice is at 10,500 – 10,600 VND/kg. Finished rice at 12,100 – 12,200 VND/kg.

With by-products, by-product prices remained stable. Specifically, the price of IR 504 plate ranges from 10,100 to 10,300 VND/kg; dry bran price at 7,450 VND/kg.

According to traders, the amount of rice today is still small, the price of rice of all kinds increased slightly. The rice market is vibrant, farmers offer high prices, it is difficult for traders to buy.

In July, domestic rice prices skyrocketed after news that India banned the export of young rice – basmati. The ground of summer-autumn rice rose sharply compared to June.

At retail markets, the price of rice is usually 11,500 – 12,500 VND/kg; Intestinal sticky rice remained stable at 14,000 – 16,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice is priced at 22,000 VND/kg. Long grain Thai fragrant rice maintains 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice costs 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg.

Huong Lai rice costs 19,000 VND/kg; Common white rice costs 14,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice costs 18,500 VND/kg; Soc rice usually fluctuates from 14,000 to 15,000 VND/kg.

Soc Thai rice stable price 18,000; Taiwanese fragrant rice costs 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg and bran remains at 8,500 – 9,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam’s export rice price continued to increase by 10 USD/ton. Specifically, 5% broken rice traded at 558 USD/ton, up 10 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 538 USD/ton, up 10 USD/ton. This is the highest offering price offered by Vietnamese rice businesses since July 2021.

Along with Vietnamese rice, the price of Thai rice increased sharply by 15 – 31 USD/ton. Accordingly, the price of Thai 5% broken rice was at 603 USD/ton, up 15 USD/ton; 25% broken rice reached 531 USD/ton, up 31 USD/ton; 100% broken rice at 468 USD/ton, up 15 USD/ton.
